Roman Sklyar checked readiness of Pavlodar region for heating season

First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar visited the Pavlodar region to check the preparation of local heat sources for the winter period, including projects for the reconstruction of thermal mains and thermal power plants in Ekibastuz, El.kz reports with reference to the Official Information Source of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the moment, 18 out of 40 pieces of equipment have been repaired in the region, with planned repairs of other facilities in accordance with established schedules. Sklyar stressed the importance of making full use of the opportunities of the investment program until 2029, aimed at updating fixed assets and improving the reliability of heat supply.

Akim of the region, Asain Baykhanov, claims that all social facilities in the region are fully prepared for the upcoming heating season, and the readiness of the housing stock is 98%. He added that it is planned to start the heating season from September 30 or October 1, depending on weather conditions.

As part of his visit, Sklyar also visited the Ekibastuz thermal power plant, where more than 400 specialists are currently working on the repair of the facility. According to the director of Pavlodarenergo JSC, Oleg Shchemel, by the end of September, 6 out of 10 boiler units will be fully ready for operation, and the repair of the remaining ones will be completed by October.

Sklyar also called on the company's management to ensure decent remuneration for employees involved in preparing for the heating season, emphasizing that this should be reflected in compensation tariffs.

At the end of his visit, he noted the extensive preparatory work carried out at all heat sources in the region, where significant reserves of coal and fuel oil have been prepared for the upcoming heating season.
