Such an instruction was given by Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin at a meeting on stabilizing prices for socially significant food products, El.kz reports with reference to the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the same time, fairs are starting in the regions to maximize coverage and saturation of the domestic market with vegetables at affordable prices. Taking into account the fact that since the second half of April, the population begins to actively consume early vegetables, mainly imported, the QazTrade Trade Policy Development Center is already working on the import of these products from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
As First Vice Minister of Trade and Integration Aizhan Bizhanova announced, taking into account the experience of previous years, QazTrade has developed a scheme for the supply of vegetables, which provides for a number of logistical issues, including border crossings.
The meeting also discussed the possibility of setting a minimum wholesale price for sugar. Given the diversity of opinions on this issue, Serik Zhumangarin instructed to hold a meeting with the participation of representatives of industry associations, ministries of agriculture, industry and other interested departments to develop a joint solution.
The Ministry of Trade and Integration also heard information on the activities of the regional commissions. Since the beginning of the year, 74 meetings have been held in the regions, 67 facts of exceeding the trade markup have been revealed. The largest number of them was recorded in Pavlodar, Turkestan regions, as well as in Shymkent, Almaty and Astana.
