The grand opening of the regional office of the Euronews TV channel took place in Astana,El.kz reports.
Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva called the launch of the office an important event for the entire information sphere of the country. She stressed that this is a new opportunity to represent Kazakhstan in the international arena.
The key goal of the project is to promote the rich culture and traditions of Kazakhstan, its tourism and investment potential and to strengthen ties between different countries.
The channel is already actively cooperating with Kazakhstan. As part of the World Nomad Games, held in September in Astana, Euronews acted as a media partner, reaching more than 39 million viewers. Also, 10 programs dedicated to the history, culture and modern achievements of the Kazakh people were released.
Pedro Vargas David, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euronews, noted that Kazakhstan occupies an important place among the world's leading economies and attracts attention due to its political and economic reforms.
The key area will be the implementation of the Euronews Academy project, which involves training and master classes for journalists and employees of the Kazakh media.
