Protection of women's rights and interests discussed in Samarkand

The forum was attended by high-ranking representatives of more than 20 countries of the world, as well as the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Women's Development Organization, the legislative and executive authorities of Uzbekistan,  El.kz reports with reference to the press service of Kazakh MFA.

From the Kazakh side, Deputy Chairman of the National Commission on Women's Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Lyazzat Suleimen took part in the forum.

During the forum, specific proposals and recommendations were developed that will serve to prepare new projects and programs to protect the rights and interests of women, as well as to strengthen the institution of the family in the OIC member states.

The participants presented new initiatives and proposals aimed at enhancing the role and status of women in the sustainable development of the OIC Member States.
