The Kazakh President received Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Myrzabossynov who reported on the implementation of instructions on the comprehensive reform of the domestic sports industry,El.kz reports citing Akorda.
The minister briefed on the development of children's and youth sports, improving the qualifications of referees and specialists, reducing the number of foreign players, and optimizing the activities of federations.
According to Yerbol Myrzabossynov, the ministry conducted a comprehensive analysis of the state of the sports industry in the regions. In addition, a working group has been created to develop amendments to the current Law "On Physical Culture and Sports". Systematic work is underway to expand cooperation with international federations and update the sports infrastructure.
The minister reported on the measures to increase the country's tourism potential. In particular, the Neo Nomad Visa project has been launched, providing new opportunities for foreign travelers.
Following the meeting the President set a number of tasks for the Minister to further improve the sphere of sports and tourism. The Head of State stressed the importance to increase the level of work on preparation for the upcoming international sports competitions.
