Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas Magzum Mirzagaliyev to hear a report on the national company’s activity, El.kz cites the Akorda press service.
President Tokayev was briefed on the launch of Kazakhstan’s crude oil brand KEBCO (Kazakhstan Export Blend Crude Oil), provision of agricultural goods producers with fuel and lubricants by oil refineries (KazMunayGas allotted 426,000 tons of diesel fuel) and recent additions to KazMunayGas’ tanker fleet.
Magzum Mirzagaliyev also reported on the start of construction of a desalination plant in Mangistau region and reconstruction of the Astrakhan-Mangyshlak water supply line as part of the company’s pool of social projects in regions of the country.
The Head of State gave a number of specific instructions on implementation of investment projects, increasing hydrocarbons exports as well as enlarging the scope of geological exploration activities.
The President also pointed out the importance of shirting the sector’s focus to advanced oil and gas processing.
