More than 150 thousand people are on the list of those who have limited their participation in gambling. In accordance with the new Law on Gambling, the maximum period of self-restriction of individuals from participating in gambling and betting has been increased to 10 years, El.kz reports with reference to the CCS.
"The Ministry receives hundreds of appeals from citizens with a request to limit themselves or their loved ones for a long time ," Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Miras Tulebayev said at a press conference at the CCS.
And the participation in gambling of civil servants and the military is also prohibited.
"The law includes participation in gambling and betting in the list of anti-corruption restrictions. The implementation of the ban will be monitored by the personnel services of government agencies, Anti-Corruption and the Agency for Civil Service Affairs," the speaker added.
