According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, a total of 13 891 foreign citizens are currently employed in Kazakhstan,El.kz reports.
570 permits were issued for managerial positions and positions of deputies, for heads of departments - 2,439. Most of the foreign workers are specialists and skilled workers at 4,541 and 1,023 people, respectively.
Additionally, 1,709 people were attracted for seasonal work, and 3,609 people were attracted as part of corporate transfers.
To date, there are 1,768 employers in the country who officially employ foreign specialists. At the same time, over 376 thousand Kazakhstanis work at these enterprises, which is 96.4% of the total number of employees.
The largest number of people are employed in the sectors, including construction (5,131 people), manufacturing industry (1,232 people), mining (1,351 people), agriculture, forestry, and fishery (1 695 people).
The largest groups of citizens are from China (4,885 people), followed by Uzbekistan (1,614 people), Türkiye (1,124 people), and India (1,150 people).
