The opening ceremony of the IV Winter Youth Olympic Games 2024 began in Gangwon, South Korea, El.kz reports.
According to the National Olympic Committee, the opening ceremony will be held in Pyeongchang and Gangneung, which are not only the venues for the 2028 Winter Olympics, but also symbols of winter sports in South Korea.
The main events will take place at the Gangneung Oval Arena in Gangneung, while a performance will also take place at the PyeongChang Dome in Pyeongchang. The end of the Olympic torch relay, which precedes the opening ceremony of the Games, will begin in Pyeongchang and end at the arena in Gangneung, where the flame of the IV Winter Youth Olympic Games 2024 will be lit.
