OECD analyses level of integrity of Kazakh state bodies

During the visit, experts discussed issues of interaction between state bodies and civil society

A group of OECD experts conducted a review of the integrity of the state bodies of Kazakhstan, El.kz reports with reference to Anti Corruption Service.

During the 5 days of the visit, the OECD experts met with representatives of the Anti-Corruption Agency, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms, Atameken NCE, the Accounts Committee for Control over the Execution of the Republican Budget, the Ministries of Information and Social Development, Culture and Sports, Education, Science and Higher Education, Justice and a number of non-governmental organizations.

During the meetings, issues of interaction between state bodies and civil society, the activities of public councils, and the reform of the civil service were discussed.

Following the meetings, representatives of the OECD held a training seminar on the prevention of conflicts of interest in the public and quasi-public sectors.

At the seminar, experts spoke in detail about the experience of other countries where there are significant successes in combating corruption.

In the near future, OECD experts will develop recommendations on the areas of ethics in the public sector, strengthening the system of public integrity, increasing accountability to society.
