A festive event dedicated to the celebration of Nauryz – the ancient holiday of spring, renewal, peace, and harmony was held in the city of Stavanger, Kingdom of Norway, El.kz cites Kazakh FM.

The event was organized by the Kazakh diaspora association in Norway “NorKaz” with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Kingdom of Norway.

The celebration brought together  members of the Kazakh diaspora, as well as local residents interested in the culture and traditions of the Kazakh people. The program featured traditional songs and games, sampling of national cuisine, and presentations of Kazakhstan’s material and spiritual cultural heritage.

The atmosphere of the event was enriched by live dombra performances, traditional costumes, and warm, heartfelt communication, allowing guests to connect more closely with the unique cultural legacy of the Kazakh nation.

As part of the event, representatives of the Embassy held a meeting with compatriots, providing explanations on current consular issues and offering informational and legal support. Thus, the event served both cultural and practical purposes.

The Nauryz celebration in Stavanger served as a vivid testament to the fact that the Kazakh diaspora abroad continues to preserve and promote its national values, demonstrating a strong connection with the historical Homeland. For compatriots living abroad, Nauryz is more than a date on the calendar – it is a symbol of unity, spiritual renewal, and cultural identity.
