New schools and kindergartens to build in Abay region by 2027

The active development of educational infrastructure continues in Abay region,El.kz reports with reference to the Department of Education of the Abay region.

This year, two private kindergartens were opened in Semey, providing 183 new places for preschoolers. Within the framework of public-private partnership, it is planned to build nine kindergartens for 2100 places by 2027.

Four modern schools will be built within the framework of the national project "Comfortable School" and six ungraded educational institutions.

In addition, the construction of a multifunctional Palace of Schoolchildren, which will open in 2025, has begun. A summer camp for children for 40 places is being built in the Abay district.

Among the significant achievements of this year are the opening of an IT school in Semey for 1200 places and the launch of the Higher College of IT and New Technologies.

Also, a concert hall for 300 seats appeared in the Pedagogical College named after M.O. Auezov.

The material and technical base of educational institutions in the region has been significantly strengthened. 46 schools received 48 new classrooms, 320 interactive panels were installed. With the support of the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Foundation, four hub schools were modernized in the amount of 1 billion tenge.

To improve Internet access, the Starlink system was introduced in 127 rural schools, which increased the Internet speed to 100-200 Mbps.
