The Nauryz holiday was celebrated with a special sense of anticipation in Budapest,El.kz cites Kazakh FM.
The celebration had a special character and was organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Hungary for Kazakh students studying in higher educational institutions abroad, compatriots, as well as Kandas, who were presented with a festive treat.
The Hungarian-Kazakh Cultural Organization, the Hungarian-Kazakh Barys Foundation and the “Qazaq Reading Club” organization led by Kazakh students took part in the event.
In honor of the holiday, a Kazakh corner was presented to the public, telling about the traditions and national values of our people.
Abzal Saparbekuly, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Hungary opened the holiday with a welcoming speech. He congratulated the guests on the occasion of Nauryz and wished them all the best.
“Dear compatriots! I congratulate you all on the occasion of the great holiday! Nauryz, which is closely associated with Mother Nature, symbolizes the beginning of renewal and creativity, harmony and unity. The holiday, which is celebrated for a whole month, has reached its logical end in Budapest,” he said.
After the Ambassador’s speech, the opening ceremony of the Nauryz holiday began, where the gathered guests participated in various national games such as asyk atu, langa, competed among themselves, sang songs and performed national dances. Excerpts from Abay’s words of exhortation were read. In addition, the performance of Kazakh and Hungarian songs by Hungarian singers Tamás Palcsó and Anna Virág won the hearts of the audience. The performances expressed the manifestation of friendship among peoples and cultural harmony.
The Hungarian guests of the event were able to get acquainted with the richest traditions and cultural heritage of our people. All present tasted nauryz kozhe and enjoyed Kazakh national cuisine.
