The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, are creating a mobile group of professional volunteers. Now an algorithm of interaction and involvement is being developed for them in the prevention, as well as the elimination of the consequences of emergencies, El.kz reports.

Today, 136 volunteer organizations, including over 47 thousand volunteers, actively cooperate with the structures of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. They are regularly trained. Over the past 3 years alone, more than 3.5 thousand volunteers have been trained in the departments of emergency situations.

It should be noted that volunteers are actively involved in the public life of the country and do not stay away from the ongoing events that require unity, assistance, and cohesion.

One of the striking examples of the development of volunteering and charity in the country is the assistance provided to the Abay region, which suffered from forest fires. The National Volunteer Network collected more than 224 million tenge to help the families of those killed in the fire.

The National Volunteer Network, under the coordination of the Ministry, has collected humanitarian aid to Turkey. As a result, more than 500 tons of humanitarian aid and 150 yurts were sent there. Kazakhstanis donated more than 10 million US dollars to the AFAD Foundation.

Volunteers also take an active part in measures to prevent fires, gas leaks, maintain safety on water bodies, etc.

In 2023, volunteers took part in more than 1700 preventive events.
