The Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan presented modern digital initiatives in the field of defense and security at Digital Almaty 2025, El.kz reports citing the press service of the department.
At the event, held under the theme "Industrial AI: Technologies for a New Era" Deputy Minister of Defense Darkhan Akhmediyev made a report to the heads of government of the EAEU countries on the use of artificial intelligence in the defense sector. One of the key projects was the innovative "Conscript 2.0" - a system designed to automate military registration. The new platform makes it possible to increase the transparency of work with conscripts, optimize mobilization training and simplify citizens' access to the necessary information: the system automatically analyzes data, determines the categories of conscripts, sends notifications and prompts to which types of troops recruits can be sent.
Darkhan Akhmediyev noted that Digital Almaty 2025 this year is focused on solutions using artificial intelligence.
Particular attention at the forum is paid to the development of the Defense Tech direction, focused on the introduction of advanced technologies in the defense industry. Within the framework of this direction, hackathons, round tables, strategic sessions are held. In 2023, a Defense Tech office was opened in Astana Hub, and in the near future it is planned to open a representative office in Almaty in the House of Officers.
This will make it possible to more actively involve technology companies in the development and implementation of defense innovations.
All the presented digital solutions testify to the desire of the Ministry of Defense to ensure a high level of security and defense capability of the country in the new digital era.
