A meeting was held in Astana between the head of the defense department, Colonel-General Ruslan Zhaksylykov, and the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Imangali Tasmagambetov, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov informed about the situation in the CSTO area of responsibility.
The parties discussed preparations for the upcoming meeting of the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers, scheduled for the end of May this year.
