The U.S. Embassy in Kyrgyzstan has issued an advisory stating that using a visa to travel to the United States with the primary intent of giving birth so the child acquires U.S. citizenship is not permitted, El.kz cites 24.kg.
«Consular officers will deny your visa application if they have reason to believe this is your intent,» the embassy said in its statement.
Previously, the U.S. Embassy also issued a visa advisory for students studying at American universities.
«If you drop out, skip classes, or leave your program of study without informing your school, your student visa may be revoked, and you may lose eligibility for future U.S. visas. Always adhere to the terms of your visa and maintain your student status to avoid any issues,» the statement says.
