Kindergartens in Astana won’t work for two days due to the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). This was reported by the Department of Education of Astana, El.kz reports.
According to the official information, kindergartens will be closed on July 3 and 4. This decision was made on the basis of a letter from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan.
"Kindergartens will not work on July 3-4 in connection with a letter from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan," the Department of Education confirmed.
The SCO summit will be held in Astana at the Palace of Independence. The event will be attended by heads of state and government from Kazakhstan, India, Iran, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Qatar, UAE, Turkey and Turkmenistan.
The summit will also be attended by the SCO Secretary-General and the executive director of the organization's regional anti-terrorist structure.
