Kazakhstan's first hybrid power plant to build in Zhanaozen

Today, KEGOC hosted a meeting between Nabi Aitzhanov, Chairman of the Management Board, and Alex Stillavato, Managing Director of Eni Plenitude Arm Wind. The main issue of discussion was the project for the construction of a hybrid power plant in the city of Zhanaozen, Mangistau region, with a 247 MW capacity, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of KEGOC.

The start date of the project is scheduled for July 5, 2024

- This kind of hybrid project will be implemented in Kazakhstan for the first time. This is the first hybrid project to be connected to the NPG of Kazakhstan. It will provide a stable power supply to production facilities in the region. The project is scheduled to reach full capacity in 2026, the company said
