The grand opening of the first Creative Industries Park in Kazakhstan took place in Kaskelen. It will operate on the basis of Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications (AUPET) Gumarbek Daukeyev, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The opening ceremony of the Park was attended by the leadership of the Almaty region, deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the business community and creative industries.
The creative park occupies an area of 12 hectares. On the territory there is a landscaped park area, sports and thematic grounds.
On the opening day, the first event was held - the Film Industry Forum with the participation of top managers and the President of the New York Film Academy Michael Young. There are plans to launch a School of Creative Industries with a world-famous academy on the basis of the Park, where professionals in the field of cinema, media, design, animation, game development, artificial intelligence, and green technologies will be trained.
