Kazakhstan took 1st place at the 2022 World Mountaineering Championships, El.kz reports.
The national team of Kazakhstan with the first passage to Verny Peak took first place according to the results of the World Championship of the International Federation of Sport Mountaineering.
The Kazakhstani team included climbers Roman Shesternin, Leonid Krupa, Zakirzhan Abduraimov and Stanislav Lainopulo.
The length of the entire route was 1,670 meters, the height difference was 910 meters. The team spent 6 nights on the route, spending the night on the wall in a special platform.
