Until the end of September, Kazakhstan introduces quotas for the export of wheat flour and wheat-rye flour, El.kz reports with reference to the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The corresponding order was signed by the Acting Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 5, 2022 No. 215 "On some issues of export of certain goods from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan" quantitative restrictions (quotas) for the export from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to third countries and to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union of wheat and meslin (HS code EAEU - 1001) in the amount of 550,000 tons and wheat and wheat-rye flour (HS code EAEU 110100) in the amount of 370,000 tons.
The restrictions come into force from July 8 to September 30.
"Quantitative restrictions on the export of wheat flour and wheat-rye flour are introduced in order to ensure food security of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the ministry said in a statement.
At the same time, it was noted that goods placed and released under the customs export procedure in accordance with the customs legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the EAEU before the date of enactment of the order are subject to unimpeded export from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
