Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan to cooperate in IT field

Memorandum of cooperation was signed between Kazakhtelecom JSC and Azertelecom International NGO

Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan will cooperate in the field of IT, El.kz reports, with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Within the framework of the visit of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed a Memorandum on Cooperation in the Field of Information, Communication and High Technologies.

The Memorandum provides for the exchange of experience and cooperation in the field of ICT, national and mobile communications, the use of artificial intelligence, big data, and the creation of joint projects. In addition, within the framework of the Memorandum, it is planned to exchange experience in the field of start-ups and training of IT personnel, as well as increase the export potential in the field of ICT, cooperation in the aerospace industry and much more.

Joint activities include the exchange of information, best practices and experiences in the field of ICT, the promotion of joint projects, including co-financing, feasibility studies, commercial and applied research and development (R&D), pilot projects in the field of wired/wireless infrastructure, exchange of experts and personnel for ICT development.

In addition, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Kazakhtelecom JSC and Azertelecom International NGO.

The memorandum will serve as an incentive for cross-border cooperation on the further development of digital transformation and digital infrastructure of both countries, will contribute to the development of new market opportunities in terms of accessibility and increase in the capacity of the Internet networks of both countries.
