Kazakhstan to adopt plan to combat gambling addiction

Kazakhstan will adopt a comprehensive plan aimed at combating illegal gambling and gambling addiction for the period 2024-2026, El.kz reports.

State Counsellor Yerlan Karin announced this on Telegram, mentioning the results of the third meeting of the National Kurultai. According to him, after the meeting, the Presidential Administration and the government formed mechanisms for implementing the initiatives of the Head of State.

Today, a plan for the implementation of the President's instructions was approved, which is a large-scale document of 40 points covering a variety of activities. The plan provides for the development and adoption of about 10 laws, as Karin specified.

These laws include penalties for drug production, the fight against gambling addiction, the protection of historical sites, issues in the field of archaeology, and state awards, among others.

Earlier, the President instructed the government to approve this comprehensive plan and adopt the relevant bill before the end of the session of the Parliament.
