Kazakhstan participates in discussions of environmental protection in Bangkok

The seventh session of the Committee on Environment and Development of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) was held in Bangkok, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Vice Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources Z.Suleimenova, representing the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the margins of the ministerial segment, was elected Deputy Chairman of the UNESCAP Committee on Environment and Development.

During the discussions, she made a country report under the agenda item "Protecting our planet through regional cooperation and solidarity in the Asia-Pacific region".

The Vice-Minister also moderated the sessions, at the end of which the Committee adopted the Ministerial Declaration on protecting the planet through regional cooperation and solidarity in the Asia-Pacific region and adopted the report of its seventh session.

In addition, Zulfiya Suleimenova spoke at a panel discussion on Action Plans to Combat Air Pollution: "Understanding Cities and Regional Cooperation to Reduce Air Pollution".
