Kazakhstan launches direct flights to Pakistan

Direct flights from Kazakhstan to Pakistan are being launched,  El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Civil Aviation Committee.

On December 23, the 11th meeting on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan was held in Islamabad (Pakistan) under the chairmanship of the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin with the participation of state bodies and organizations.

Within the framework of the meeting, the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee Talgat Lastayev met with the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan, Mr. Hakan Murtaza.

"Following the meeting, an agreement was signed between the aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and Pakistan. Based on the agreements reached, Kazakhstan's SCAT airline plans to open direct passenger flights on the routes Almaty - Lahore (2 flights per week) and Almaty - Karachi (2 flights per week)

The opening of air links between Kazakhstan and Pakistan will accelerate the development of trade, economic, investment, tourism and cultural cooperation between the countries," the press service of the committee said.
