Specialized organizations have been opened in nine regions of Kazakhstan that will be engaged in operation and management of hydraulic structure, El.kz reports citing the Kazakh Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation.
New institutions have been established in Akmola, Aktobe, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, as well as in the regions of Abai and Zhetisu. Thus, the total number of such organizations in the country has reached 15.
The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation continues to improve the regulatory framework governing the tasks and powers of the new institutions.
Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov stressed the need to improve the efficiency of new organizations at a staff meeting.
The creation of new organizations is aimed at increasing the reliability of hydraulic structures, improving water supply and sanitation, as well as preventing emergencies related to water.
