The Head of State signed the Law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Physical Culture and Sports, as well as the Exclusion of Excessive Legislative Regulation", El.kz reports via Aqorda.

The law is aimed at improving state policy in the field of development of physical culture and sports.

The authorized body will develop republican and regional lists of priority sports, determine the list of sports of the highest achievements, as well as the procedure for their financing at the expense of state budgetary funds.

Priority sports will be approved according to the results achieved in the international arena. These are sports included in the program of the Olympic, Paralympic, Deaflympic, Asian and Para-Asian Games, as well as national sports.

The provisions regarding the accreditation of sports federations have been improved, which will be divided into national and local sports federations. A ban has been approved on financing international athletes at the expense of budgetary funds and at the expense of quasi-public sector entities.

State budget funds will be used to finance in four areas: high-performance sports, including priority sports, the functioning of state physical culture and sports organizations, mass sports, and the development of sports infrastructure.

Uniform standards for the training of athletes have been developed, providing for measures to strengthen traditional values and patriotic education. The concept of "national standards of sports training" has been introduced.

The text of the Law is published in the press.
