Kazakh Minister of Culture Aida Balayeva met with UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Culture Ernesto Ottone in Paris to discuss priority projects, El.kz reports.
During the visit, Balayeva noted the importance of cooperation with UNESCO, stressing the joint initiatives for the popularization of the Kazakh cultural heritage.
The parties discussed several areas of cultural exchange, including the preservation of world heritage monuments, research and promotion of intangible cultural heritage, as well as the development of creative industries.
Aida Balayeva stressed that the Ministry of Culture of Kazakhstan strives to support joint publishing projects with UNESCO, promoting Kazakh culture in the international market.
Ernesto Ottone expressed satisfaction with the dynamics of joint work, stressing that projects for the protection of the intangible heritage and cultural heritage of Kazakhstan have achieved significant success. He noted that cooperation has become intensive, which is especially noticeable in the regional implementation of UNESCO projects.
At the end of the meeting, Aida Balayeva thanked Ottone for constructive interaction, stressing the importance of promoting Kazakhstani culture in the international arena.
