Kazakhstan and Türkiye Strengthen Trade Cooperation

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Türkiye Yerkebulan Sapiyev met with the Minister of trade of the Republic of Türkiye Omer Bolat, El.kz cites MFA.

In the course of the meeting the issues of expanding cooperation in the field of trade between the two countries were discussed.

Yerkebulan Sapiyev pointed out that Türkiye is one of the most important trade partners of Kazakhstan and that our country is interested in increasing the volume of trade turnover. He also informed about the efficiency of doing business in Kazakhstan and created favorable conditions for investors.

Omer Bolat noted that the volume of the trade between the two countries has reached the mark of 10 billion dollars set by the Heads of State and intend to further increase this amount. Minister also touched upon such topics as diversification of goods, development of trade corridors.

As a result of the meeting an agreement was reached to develop concrete steps to implement the roadmap of 90 points, signed during the Kazakh-Turkish Intergovernmental Economic Commission under the co-chairmanship of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov and Vice-President of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz.
