Kazakhstan and Russia sign cooperation in agro-industrial complex

A delegation chaired by the Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov visited Moscow, where at a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut. The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, El.kz reports citing the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.

Oksana Lut noted the partnership and friendly nature of relations between the two countries in the agricultural sector, and Aidarbek Saparov stressed that Russia is the largest trading partner of Kazakhstan in this area. According to the results of 11 months of 2024, the trade turnover of agricultural products between the countries increased by 4.3%, reaching $3.4 billion.

Exports of Kazakh products to Russia also show stable growth, amounting to $502.9 million over the same period. Kazakhstan is ready to intensify efforts to increase the volume of supplies of agricultural products to the Russian market.

At the meeting, issues of lifting restrictions on the transit and import of crop and livestock products were discussed.
