The Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan Marat Karabayev and the Minister of Transport of Russia Roman Starovoit held meeting in Moscow, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The sides stressed the importance of cooperation in the transport sector in line with the previously reached agreements.
Particular attention was paid to the signing of bilateral documents on the eve of the state visit of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin to the Republic of Kazakhstan, the development of international road transport, the expansion of the geography of flights, the study of the creation of new transport corridors, etc.
Rail and road transport traffic between the countries reached 110 million tons.
Following the talks, the parties expressed their readiness to further deepen cooperation in the field of transport and strengthen the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Russia.
