Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov met with representatives of the French Development Agency in Kazakhstan,El.kz news agency reports with reference to the press service of the ministry.
The parties discussed the implementation of a joint research on Ile-Balkhash basin.
Kazakh minister invited the French side to consider cooperation in the field of groundwater and advanced training of specialists.
"With the opening of the AFD office in Astana, our interaction will become more effective. I will also add that together with other foreign partners, we are considering options for conducting research on other water bodies, including the Aral and Caspian Seas," said Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov.
