Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Belgium, Margulan Baimukhan, met with Johannes Luchner, Deputy Director-General of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs, El.kz cites MFA.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues related to strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union in the field of law enforcement, including combating illegal migration, readmission, improving border control, and applying the expertise of European law enforcement agencies.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan informed his counterpart about the positive migration statistics of Kazakh citizens traveling to EU countries, highlighting the absence of migration risks and compliance with EU laws and regulations by Kazakh nationals.
Baimukhan emphasized the importance of fostering mutually beneficial cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union, reaffirming Kazakhstan’s commitment to international migration standards.
Luchner, in turn, praised Kazakhstan’s role in the Central Asian region and its contribution to regional security and stability. He stressed the importance of continuing dialogue and sharing expertise between the two parties in addressing migration and security issues.
As a result of the meeting, both sides agreed to maintain their dialogue and identify priority areas for future cooperation and experience exchange.
