The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belgium, Margulan Baimukhan, held a series of meetings with leading representatives of the Belgian food industry. The parties discussed the prospects for establishing mutually beneficial trade and investment cooperation, El.kz cites MFA.
Special attention was given to opportunities for cooperation in the export of Kazakh grain and in the deep processing of grain crops. In this context, the Kazakh diplomat emphasized available support mechanisms for investors in Kazakhstan, as well as the development of transport and logistics links between Central Asia and the European Union.
Highlighting the record grain harvest in Kazakhstan in 2024, the head of the Maselis company, Patrick Maselis, noted the high quality of Kazakh agricultural products.
Ambassador Baimukhan also met with Xavier Vanneste, the seventh-generation owner of the De Halve Maan brewery, founded in 1856. Given the traditionally successful experience of producing high-quality Belgian beer, the company’s head was invited to participate in the trade and production in Kazakhstan’s beer market.
During the meeting with the leadership of Dossche Group, new directions for cooperation and investments in Kazakhstan’s food industry were discussed.
Belgian entrepreneurs expressed interest in establishing commercial ties with Kazakh business entities. Agreements were reached to hold substantive negotiations between Kazakh and Belgian companies for the implementation of a number of commercial and investment projects.
