The WorldSkills Lyon 2024 International Professional Skills Championship was held in Lyon, France, El.kz news agency reports with reference to the Kazakh Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The competition is dedicated to the development of professional skills among young professionals under 25 years old. The main goal of the championship is to popularize working professions and attract young people to such areas as technology, engineering, construction and IT.
This year, 69 countries participated in WorldSkills Lyon 2024. Kazakhstan was represented by 32 participants and 30 international experts in 30 competencies.
A student of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University Ruslan Yusupov demonstrated outstanding success, showing excellent skills in the Web Technologies category and taking fourth place, behind participants from Hungary, Korea and Singapore.
