Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev chaired the meeting on the issues of socio-economic development of the country and the Government's forecasts for the medium term, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the President of Kazakhstan.
The event was attended by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, Head of the Presidential Administration Aibek Dadebayev, Chairman of the National Bank, Chairman of the Supreme Audit Chamber, members of the Government and other officials.
The President heard reports on the main indicators of socio-economic development, the execution of the republican budget for 7 months of 2024 and macroeconomic parameters laid down in the draft republican budget for 2025-2027.
The government expects economic growth at the level of 5.6% and a decrease in inflation to 5.5-7.5% next year.
The Head of State instructed the Government to improve the quality of forecasting macroeconomic indicators and the state budget, introduce a clear mechanism for prioritizing public expenditures both at the central and local levels, as well as strengthen measures to combat the shadow economy.
