Kazakh PM inspects operation of capital's life support systems

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov made a working tour of a number of infrastructural, social and cultural facilities in Astana, El.kz reports with reference to primeminister.kz.

The Prime Minister inspected the operation of the new pumping and filtering station No. 3. Its launch made it possible to fully cover the capital's needs for drinking water.

Here, the Prime Minister was informed about the development of other life support systems in Astana. With the support of the Government, the construction of a number of new facilities has been completed.

Work on gasification of the capital is also underway. To date, more than 12.5 thousand customers in 13 residential areas have been provided with access to gas.

Along with this, the head of government was informed about the work to strengthen the power supply and water supply systems of the capital, plans for the reconstruction of roads and the modernization of storm sewers.

Olzhas Bektenov also got acquainted with the construction of a comfortable school for 2 thousand places on Tole bi Street. Its opening is scheduled for August this year.

The national project "Comfortable School" is being implemented on behalf of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Olzhas Bektenov stressed the importance of the active use of domestically produced building materials and furniture in these works. The Prime Minister also inspected the progress of repair work on the territory of the Palace of Independence and the Kazanat Hippodrome, which will be involved during the events of the SCO and the World Nomad Games.
