The IV Session of the Committee on SMEs and Entrepreneurship of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) was held in France. The event was attended by the Director of the Department of Entrepreneurship Development Policy of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erik Dzhambulov and the Deputy Director of the Center for World Economy Research of the Institute of Economic Research of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Raipov, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The session participants discussed issues on improving the policy of SMEs, advanced training, digitalization of small and medium-sized businesses in Kazakhstan.
The wording of the updated Ministerial Declaration on SME Development and Entrepreneurship Policy, as well as the Committee's new legal instrument, the OECD Council Recommendation on SME Finance, were also reviewed.
Further, during the session, the organizational issues of the Ministerial Meeting, which is scheduled for June 27-28, 2023, were discussed.
As a result of the event, the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan reached agreements with the OECD Secretariat on close cooperation in access to the best practices for the development of SMEs.
