Kazakh linguists to go to Oxford

In the office of the "Center for International Programs" a meeting was held with the Director of the Institute of Linguistics named after Ahmet Baitursynov, Candidate of Philological Sciences Anar Fazdyzhanova.

During the meeting, the issues of sending Kazakh linguists to Oxford to study the Kazakh language as part of scientific internships under the "500 Scientists" program were discussed, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Center for International Programs JSC.

Earlier, a memorandum was signed on the launch of a program for studying the Kazakh language at the University of Oxford between Baitursynov Institute of Linguistics, National Scientific and Practical Center «Til-Qazyna» named after Sh. Shayakhmetov, JSC "Center for International Programs" and the University of Oxford. The program involves collaborations with various colleges and faculties as part of the Oxford Birsöz Initiative CIC.

The Oxford Birsöz Initiative is a self-governing public organisation that develops links and partnerships in the field of Turkic studies and Central Asia for the benefit of students, staff and the Oxford community as a whole.

Aliya Ospanova, representative of the Center for International Programs, noted:

"We are confident that this cooperation will open up new horizons for Kazakh scientists and strengthen international ties in the field of science."

Anar Fazdyzhanova expressed gratitude for the opportunity to cooperate and stressed the importance of such initiatives for the development of science and education in Kazakhstan.

The 500 Scientists program is an important step in developing the scientific potential of Kazakhstan and strengthening international scientific cooperation. It provides a unique opportunity for Kazakh scientists to expand their knowledge and contribute to the global scientific community.
