During the meeting, the Head of State drew attention to a number of priorities in the upcoming work of the National Olympic Committee.
First of all, the President stressed the importance of strengthening trusting and effective relations within the framework of the International Olympic Committee.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the great responsibility associated with the preparation of athletes of national teams for the upcoming XXXII Summer Olympic Games. The Head of State called the creation of an effective system that will increase the number of licenses and successfully perform in Paris.
The Head of State considers it necessary to provide athletes with the most favorable conditions for self-realization and eradicate negative phenomena that undermine the basis of domestic sports. According to him, it is necessary to ensure fairness in the selection for the national team.
At the end of the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed confidence that the professionalism and extensive experience of Gennady Golovkin will contribute to the effective solution of urgent problems of the development of Olympic sports in the country.
