Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the akim of the East Kazakhstan region Nurymbet Saktaganov, El.kz news agency reports citing Akorda.
The President was informed about the socio-economic development of the region.
According to akim, over 400 thousand square meters of housing have been commissioned, 46 new production facilities have been opened.
18 healthcare facilities were commissioned, 6 facilities were overhauled, 5 schools were commissioned under "Comfortable School" national project. To reduce the shortage of student places, 7 more schools will be built.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about measures to support SMEs, modernize infrastructure, and build new social facilities.
According to Nurymbet Saktaganov, special attention is paid to the development of tourism, digitalization, the transport and logistics sector and the agro-industrial complex
The Head of State was informed that to support the representatives of working professions, together with Otbasy Bank, a regional preferential mortgage program was launched.
The akim said that by the end of this year, the region plans to solve the problem of high-quality clean drinking water. Eiggt water supply projects worth 14 billion tenge will be completed.
It is planned to attract at least 1.5 trillion tenge of investment to the region, build more than 700 thousand square meters of housing, 28 social facilities, and repair over 600 km of roads.
The President instructed to enhance the work on diversifying the region's economy, expanding the export of processed products and attracting investment.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that priority should be given to solving environmental problems and improving transport infrastructure.
