President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Prime Minister of Mongolia Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene as part of his state visit to Ulaanbaatar,El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.
During the meeting, the President stressed the need for joint efforts of the governments of both countries for the successful implementation of the agreements reached during the talks at the highest level.
"Today we have set tasks for the governments of our countries to give a strategic character to cooperation between Kazakhstan and Mongolia. We really need anchor projects that could give a serious impetus to the development of economic cooperation," Tokayev said.
The President stressed the importance of joint projects in the mining industry, agriculture, transport and logistics, tourism and education.
Prime Minister Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene confirmed Mongolia's readiness for the practical implementation of the decisions made, expressing interest in Kazakhstan's experience in economic development.
