In the Aktogay district of Kazakhstan, a tender was announced for the repair of a road, which does not exist in registers of both local and regional authorities. This situation was exposed by the prosecutor's office, thereby preventing unreasonable expenses, El.kz reports.

As it was established, the Department of Economics and Finance of the Aktogay district planned to carry out current repairs of the Akzharyk-Appaz road section in the amount of 328 mln  tenge and has already announced a corresponding tender. However, an inspection carried out by the prosecutor's office of the Karaganda region revealed that such a road does not exist.

The prosecutor's office found that this section of the road was not registered either at the level of the local or at the level of the regional akimat. According to article 1 of the Law "On Roads", routine repairs involve a set of measures aimed at preventing accidents and defects on existing roads, including the repair of damaged sections. Thus, repairs are expected only on existing roads.

In addition, the prosecutor's office found out that the district akimat tried to organize the construction of a new road without the necessary design estimates, which is also a violation of the law. This violation was also revealed during the announcement of the tender for construction and installation work.

As a result of the identified violations, the tender for the repair of the road was canceled.
