On November 6, 2023, the Alliance of Turkic News Agencies (ATNA) which includes QAZCONTENT JSC (Kazakhstan), international news agencies Anadolu ajance (Turkey), AZERTAC (Azerbaijan), KABAR (Kyrgyzstan), UZA (Uzbekistan) was created. Earlier during the 10th Summit of Turkic States in Astana, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his confidence in the importance of promoting Turkic unity and strengthening mutual understanding between countries connected by a common history, culture, language and mentality.

The declaration on the creation of ATNA was signed on November 6 within the framework of the media summit "Unity in the media and vision of the future" of the news agencies of the Turkic states, organized by Anadolu Ajansı.

“The ties between our countries in the field of media are becoming stronger every year. Cooperation between TV channels has been established and the exchange of content has begun. In particular, joint TV projects and series were produced. That's a good thing. And there is no shortage of communication between news agencies. However, this is the era of new media. It means that we must raise cooperation in the field of online journalism to a new level," said Bekzat Zhusupov, Chairman of the Board of Qazcontent JSC.

He also made a number of proposals to strengthen relations between Turkic countries and combat disinformation.

Now Qazcontent JSC is working to strengthen information ties between the Turkic states and popularize their cultural and historical heritage.

The Media Summit of the Turkic News Agencies provided an exceptional platform for dialogue and exchange of experience between the media of the Turkic countries, contributing to the strengthening of these ties.

"Our goal is to create a leading Association of Turkic News Agencies, which will be united by a common language, work and vision," said Serdar Karagöz, Chairman of the Board of Anadolu Ajansı.

Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev noted that the creation of the media alliance is a historic event.

"In the face of ATNA, there is a new foundation for diversification of cooperation in the field of media, which was laid by UTC," Omuraliev said.

Head of the Communications Department under the President of Turkey Fakhredtin Altun stated the importance of creating an alliance to counter threats to the countries of the Turkic world.

“President Recep Tayyip Erdogan attaches great importance to the development of comprehensive cooperation between Turkic countries”, he said.

Former Prime Minister of Turkey, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States Binali Yildirim also took part in the media summit.

He said that in the digital world, information spreads instantly, and therefore the media of the Turkic countries, using modern tools, should jointly counteract manipulation and the spread of fakes.
