It is planned to improve working conditions for miners - Kazakh PM

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov spoke about new measures to support miners, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Government.

Firstly, Alikhan Smailov addressed the subject of increasing the salaries of labor collectives of private enterprises operating in various sectors of the economy.

"We are working with our large companies to increase wages. According to our information, salaries are now gradually increasing by an average of 10-50%. About 8,000 enterprises are carrying out this work. This process will continue in the future," the Prime Minister said.

Along with this, on behalf of the Head of State, legislative amendments were developed to introduce special social payments to employees with harmful working conditions.

"They provide for the opportunity for people at the age of 55 to get out of these harmful working conditions with the appropriate social benefits. Subject to payment of mandatory occupational pension contributions for at least 7 years

These payments will be made from four sources: from the republican budget, the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund, funds from insurance companies and the employer himself. After reaching retirement age, they will receive a generally established pension," Alikhan Smailov said.

According to him, in this way, after the age of 55, miners will receive special social benefits and, if desired, will be able to get another job that is not associated with harmful working conditions.

"The bill is in the Majilis. We hope that the deputies will support us and adopt the bill in the near future," the Prime Minister concluded.
