Investor for construction of Central Asia International Center for Cultural Complex named

Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin chaired the meeting of the operational working group on the development of cross-border hubs, El.kz reports with reference to primeminister.kz.

According to the results of the competition held by the Akimat of the Turkestan region on February 7, 2024, TCL Gr. LLP became the main investor for the construction of the Central Asia International Training Center. Procedures have been launched to create a legal entity with the participation of an investor and the akimat of the Turkestan region to transfer the industrial zone to management. 

At the meeting, active progress was noted in the implementation of the project for the construction of a hub on the border of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. So, on February 15, 2024, in the Syrdarya region, the parties discussed the details of accelerating the creation of the Central Asia ICSC, development plans, infrastructure and the content of the hub.

The investor, together with the akimat of the Turkestan region, created a concept for the development of the industrial cooperation center. The construction of the facility is planned to begin this year. The ICPC will be built on the border area of the Atameken international checkpoints from Kazakhstan and Gulistan from Uzbekistan. 

TCL Gr. LLP also signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Uzbek company Global Textile. This is the first investment project of the ICPC aimed at the production of finished textile products. Following the meeting, deputy akims of neighboring regions of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan signed a roadmap for the accelerated creation of an industrial cooperation center.
