Indonesian parliament ready to strengthen cooperation with Kazakhstan

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Indonesia, Serzhan Abdykarimov, met with the Chairman of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of the People’s Representative Council of Indonesia, Mardani Ali Sera, El.kz cites Kazakh FM.

The parties exchanged views on the current state of Kazakh-Indonesian relations and prospects for their further development, emphasizing the important role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening friendly ties between the two countries.

Ambassador Abdykarimov provided an overview of the political and socio-economic situation in Kazakhstan, as well as plans to develop bilateral cooperation in trade and economy, investment, culture, humanitarian affairs, and tourism.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed on the necessity of maintaining a systematic dialogue between the legislative bodies of the two states by enhancing the activities of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group and organizing high-level parliamentary delegation visits.
