At the Google AI Academy Istanbul: Bold and Responsible Summit, Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dinara Shcheglova presented a project for the development of artificial intelligence in Kazakh universities in front of world experts and representatives of government agencies of Central Asian countries and Turkey, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event discussed the issues of digital transformation of education using AI, as well as highlighted current priorities in this area.
In her speech, the Vice Minister noted that the main priority of the Ministry is the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of artificial intelligence.
"Now the work is underway on the digitalization of universities, the introduction of artificial intelligence and new technologies in higher education. The task includes the development and implementation of educational programs in universities and research centers, as well as the provision of additional training and professional development for teachers and researchers" the Vice Minister emphasized.
The next important stage is the implementation of a project to create and implement a model of the national language based on neural networks. This project involves the use of artificial intelligence capable of recognizing, translating and creating text in the Kazakh language, based on the vast arrays of data provided for analysis.
