The President listened to a report on the activities of the Ministry to establish the principle of "Law and Order" in the country and ensure "zero tolerance" for any offenses.
Yerzhan Sadenov reported that in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, given at an expanded meeting of the board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the main emphasis in the work is made on prevention and improving the legal literacy of citizens. This has made it possible to reduce the crime rate since the beginning of the year. The number of thefts, robberies, crimes committed in the sphere of family and domestic relations, on the streets, by previously convicted persons has significantly decreased.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the measures taken to develop a unified law in the field of crime prevention, the creation of specialized units to combat domestic violence.
The President was familiarized with the results of work on countering organized crime, drug crime, and extremism. The Minister announced the creation of an independent service to combat cybercrime.
